Welcome to the Tri-County Fly Fishers Club Website.
Tri-County Fly Fishers Club is a not for profit Club whose members have a true love for fly-fishing. We welcome anyone who wants to learn how to fly fish and gain experience in the art of fly tying; and become an active member of the fly-fishing Club.
This Club is made up of about eighty members from beginners to those with 50+ years of fly-fishing and tying experi-ence. Fishing interests range from bluegills and bass to redfish and tarpon, with an occasional rainbow or brown trout from up north or out west thrown in. Today, membership is drawn from permanent and seasonal residents of those in and around the Florida counties of Lake, Sumter and Marion.

Venetian Gardens a Place to Reconsider For Future Freshwater Trips

This is a place we need to strongly reconsider for future freshwater trips or just an alternative to our Bass and Bagels at the pond. The area is just beautiful with lots of room to cast. It is an excellent place to teach basic casting and advanced types of casts i.e.. curve cast, roll cast, tuck cast and even long distance casting. You can even do target casting to specific areas. The fishing is slow this time of year but, I had a great time trying many different casts.

Louisiana Redfish on The Fly

These are the pictures of Larry Nazzaro's presentation October 15th on the trip he, his two sons, and Mike Winter made in September. This is a fantastic power point presentation but I am sure it was even better in person. Thank you Larry!!

Welcome and thanks to all members who have chosen to be part of the Tri -County Fly Fishers Club. At this time of the year, with the holiday’s right around the corner, there is not a whole lot happening with the club right now so I’ll be brief. I’d also like to welcome back our snowbirds. It won’t be long before we have a “full house” membership at our meetings, listening to exaggerated fishing exploits once again. I suggest you all roll up your pant legs and wear boots to the next few meetings because “it” can get pretty deep at times if you know what I mean!

Last month I had the opportunity to attend the IFFF Florida Council Fly Fishing Expo at The Plantation in Crystal River. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and spent a couple...
