Welcome to the Tri-County Fly Fishers Website.
Tri-County Fly Fishers, Inc. is a not for profit Club whose members have a true love for fly-fishing. We welcome anyone who wants to learn how to fly fish and gain experience in the art of fly tying; and become an active member of the fly-fishing Club.
This Club is made up of about eighty members from beginners to those with 50+ years of fly-fishing and tying experi-ence. Fishing interests range from bluegills and bass to redfish and tarpon, with an occasional rainbow or brown trout from up north or out west thrown in. Today, membership is drawn from permanent and seasonal residents of those in and around the Florida counties of Lake, Sumter and Marion.

For the month of December, Lee Wulff is featured as a "Giant in our Sport". “Lee was a giant of an outdoorsman — solitary, brave and always curious about what was in the next lake or river,” wrote Jack Samson in his wonderful biography of Wulff. “The father of catch-and-release angling and a pioneer in the conservation of Atlantic salmon, Lee Wulff may have been America’s greatest fly-fisherman.”

MEETING RECAP:

After a hearty breakfast, the meeting began at 9:00 am with Larry recognizing any new members and guests. Each person gave us a brief introduction about themselves.

Secretary, Joe Manjoine, read the minutes from our last meeting and the minutes were approved. Chris Lyndrup, gave the treasurers report and Jim B. reported on our current membership which stands at 81 total members. Jim reported that members may begin paying their 2016 membership dues and that all monies should be collected by the March 2, 2016 business meeting. Any member not paid in full will be dropped form the roster and access to the “members only” section of the website will be denied.

Larry outlined the upcoming evening programs and upcoming Fresh & Salt Water Fishing & Field Trips. Detailed information and registration can be found on the website blog.

We talked about the Villages Expo ( need volunteers) and the Club picnic at the end of March at Wooten Park and the importance of registering for the event.

We formed two sub-groups of the Club. Those being the TCFF Boat Buddies Group and the TCFF Thursday Kayak Group. Look for more information on the website in the weeks to come.

Since no one expressed and interest to join the Board of Directors or challenge the current Officers, Doug motioned ther floor current Officers & committee chair were re-elected for 2016-2017. This was approved by the members preesent. They are as follows:
